Sydney Central Hotel managed by The Ascott Limited

The hotel is very conveniently located a short walk from Central Station. Beds were extremely comfortable and rooms were spacious. Great that they offer 24hr room service, as we arrived late on an interstate train. Perfect stay to get around Sydney if you don't have a car, but parking also available next door.

The hotel has a great location - walking distance to Market City/Paddy's Market and Darling Harbour/Square/Pavillion so you will have access to great restaurants and attractions including a nice stroll through the park. The room looks a bit dated - reminds me of mid-90s hotel, the bones are good, the rooms are spacious but needed to update the furniture and add more lights, the rooms can be a bit dark.

When we arrived at the hotel we were so tired from a long road trip & more or less went to sleep within 30 minutes of entering the room - The room was adequate & the bed was very clean & comfortable - Breakfast was excellent & good value for money... We did buy a club sandwich from the room service menu & it was one of the best we have had - also it is great that this hotel is well located for transport, restaurants etc; It is an older establishment.

The hotel is located in China Town, not much to eat outside but Asian food. The hotel was ok, clean, and friendly staff. They kept having issues with fire alarms two days in a row we got woke up with evacuation alarms. 15 floors up telling us not to use stairs. We are not spring chickens. Staff was underprepaired and clueless. It was very dangerous if it ended up being a true emergency. your dead! Breakfast was just ok. The biggest compliment I can give is after a 15-hour flight and early arrival, our room was ready at 830 am! Was really appreciated until the alarms were going off!

The carpet is tired and needs replacing and so does the brown couch but the bed was comfy and the location is EXCELLENT - so close to Darling Harbour, great food in Chinatown, Trams to the shops and bus to Bondi. Also the staff were just amazing - so friendly so helpful and attentive. The cleaners were excellent and I had fresh towels everyday as soon as I left my room to explore. A special treat was a hand written card to congratulate our 25th anniversary with sparkling wine and cake. We were not expecting it. We had a balcony that faced an office block, not a great view but we knew that when we booked. Loved our stay and would come back for sure!!
